Geometric factors such as weld reinforcement, width and depth of penetration provide information on the behavior of the welded joint. That is why these geometric factors are used for process control. According to the specifications and output requirements of such geometric factors is that it is possible to perform optimization projects to find the optimal values ​​for the essential variables within the welding process. These values ​​are found by means of MSR or response surface where variables are assigned to obtain and analyze certain responses. In this case, the variables occasionally involve feed rate, feeding speed, joint geometry, etc. The answer obtained will be based on the aforementioned geometric factors. MSR is able to find the optimal values ​​for these variables in order to produce with certainty the desired answers.
